Baseball About the Barons

The Greater Gwinnett Christian Barons baseball program began in 1993 as a means of providing quality sports programs for home educated students who wanted to play competitively at the high school level. The Barons have always been noted for exhibiting Godly character traits as well as a high level of athletic ability. Through the years the Barons have had numerous players who have received scholarships to play at the college level and one player who went on to play for the New York Yankees organization. The Barons have had winning records every year and have won numerous tournaments and state awards. In order to accommodate the number of talented players desiring to be Barons, a second varsity team was created in 2004. The new Barons White Team are 2004 HWSA Southeast Region Champs. The Barons Blue Team continued its winning tradition as four-peat Homeschool World Series Association National Champions. In 2006 the Barons returned to one varsity team and won the HWSA National Championship in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. They have won a total of 8 World Series Championships.
